Activating the macro
Using the ChatGPT Connector for Confluence app is extremely simple! After the setup is completed, the macro is ready to work for you. The macro is displayed as a container in you Confluence page, while in edit mode.
To activate the macro you can:
Click on the macro icon from the menu, or
Select some of the content in the page.
Using the macro
The macro allows you to use ChatGPT type processing over the scope of Confluence content. The prompt for processing the content can be entered according to your desire, or selected from a list of prepared prompt, which can then be modified.
Once a prompt is defined you can execute it, over the content by clicking the Generate button.
You then see an indication that the content is being processed, and the result is displayed accordingly.
This result can then be inserted at the cursor location on the Confluence page, or replace the original selection. You can also copy the result to the clipboard, for other uses, or clear the container for another processing
Content Scope
Note the SELECTION indicator on the top let of the container. When you select a content on the current page, the macro is applied to that content.
Click on the selection to expand it an you can choose other scopes.
You can now use the explorer popup to select a page, a patent page, and traverse the Confluence space up to the top level.
The you select a section of the space, its name appears in the scope field,
Using a prompt now will apply to that entire scope!
Creating tables
ChatGPT Container for Confluence supports table. When the prompt asks to format the results in a table, they are neatly structured.

Using world knowledge
ChatGPT is a fantastic AI Large Language Model (LLM) with amazing capabilities. However, depending on the action prompt and the source field content, it may not always give you the results you are looking for. The adjustment of the action prompt can significantly alter the result. We found that the summarization and translation tasks are very powerful, but there are countless others. Feel free to experiment with the prompt. The options are endless.
When using the app with the same source field content, or making repeated calls, the results may be different each time. This is part of the human-like nature of the LLM
