Sprint Capacity Planning & Tracking - Admin Guide (Cloud)

This guide is for Jira Administrators to install the Sprint Capacity Planning & Tracking Cloud app.

Configuration Overview

There are a few configurations a Jira administrator is required to perform in order to get Sprint Capacity Planning & Tracking ready for work. These include setting Roles, which are used to decide teams to disciplines, defining Global Teams that can be reused in sprints, selecting several toggles according to the desired functionality, etc.

Assigning Fields to Screens

Sprint Capacity Planning & Tracking requires that the field used for tracking will be assigned to each of the screen being used.

  • If using calculation by hours - the field Time tracking should be associated to all issue type edit and view screens

  • If using calculation by points - the field you chose, as described above, to numerically denote the “point” measurement (e.g. Story Points) should be associated to all issue type edit and view screens

 

To perform the configuration, with a Jira Administrator permissions:

  • Go to SettingsAppsManage Apps

  • Search for Sprint Capacity Cloud, expand it and click Configure

Configuration menu should then appears in the left bar.
